Perk Builds for Survivors & Monster in the Mansion
No perks shipped yet, so these are pre-launch builds from the cure loop: quiet Runner, loud Decoy, craft-support, and detection Monster.
Perk Builds for Survivors & Monster
Monster in the Mansion has not shipped perks for Early Access, so these are pre-launch builds derived from the cure loop, not official loadouts. When Ubermonster publishes real perks, rebuild around the actual effects — but the shapes below will hold, because they serve the announced design.
Runner Build (Survivors)
Goal: collect books quietly.
- Sound-masking (core)
- Light footstep / crouch speed
- A hide-break mobility perk
This build keeps you off the monster's radar. Routes from Mansion Layout do the rest.
Decoy Build (Survivors)
Goal: pull the monster, then vanish.
- Noise generation
- Speed / peel
- A short reset (quick hide) perk
The decoy lives by Communication Tips and Best Hiding Spots.
Craft-Support Build (Survivors)
Goal: protect the loud antidote craft.
- Faster, quieter crafting
- Revive / heal
- Craft-station proximity
Without this build, the craft gets interrupted and the cure fails.
Monster Build (Possessed)
Goal: area control and cure denial.
- Sight in lit rooms
- Hearing at range
- A chase-reset or patrol-speed perk
The monster wins by denying the cure, not by kills. See How to Play the Monster.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these official builds?
No. They are pre-launch theory from the announced cure loop. Rebuild when perks ship.
Which build is strongest?
Runner (sound-masking) for survivors; detection for the monster. Both map to the detection order.
Will builds change the meta?
They tune the loop. The core strategy stays: gather, craft, cure.
